立冬時節(jié),萬物畢蓄,休養(yǎng)生息。此前的秋燥終于被初雨浸潤,白鷺成群結(jié)隊翱翔天際,羽翼的拍打聲喚醒了嶄新的冬天。
At the Beginning of Winter solar term, everything has been settled down and takes a break. The dryness of autumn finally soaks in the first touch of winter rain. The sounds of egrets flapping their wings wake a whole new winter.

除祭祀祈福外,古人在這一天還有“補冬”的習(xí)俗:吃餃子、熬草根湯、殺雞烹羊,好讓身體得到滋養(yǎng),以過寒冬。
Besides worshiping and praying, ancient Chinese also had the habit to eat nourishing food in winter. Eating dumplings, braising herbal soup, cooking chicken and lamb, people prepare everything and get ready for a cold winter.
而在南方的深圳,立冬前后經(jīng)歷臺風(fēng)雨的洗禮,依然草木爭妍,百花絢爛:簕杜鵑艷麗,粉色異木棉浪漫,馬纓丹嬌柔。萬千芳菲不懼寒意,開出了不遜春朝的冬日花海,十一月的鵬城美不勝收。
While in such a south city like Shenzhen, it is still enjoying the flowery scenes even after strong autumn typhoon. Bougainvillea is vivid, chorisia speciosa is romantic in pink, and lantana is delicate. Thousands of blossoms are competing against coldness, and burst into bloom that no less than springtime. There are too many breathtaking sceneries to appreciate in Shenzhen's November.
